Tecumseh City Manager Dan Swallow informed city council on Monday that the closing sale of the former Tecumseh Products property is pending legal paperwork. Swallow said covenants and restrictions are being worked out after the Department of Environmental Quality raised additional requirements. Closing is now anticipated in mid-July, Swallow said.

Jason and Kristie Miller, owners of Great Lakes Aerial Maintenance and Construction Company of Dundee have presented plans to develop the property for mixed-use, including construction for light industrial, retail and professional space. Millers have titled the project site Revival Commons.

The next phase of street construction will involve Brown, Spring, Brook, Ternes and Wenonah streets. Currently, crews are replacing sections of curbs in poor condition while the milling of asphalt should begin next week, Swallow said.
