Chester “Chips” Greenfield
It is with great sadness that the family of Chester “Chips” Greenfield announces his passing. Chet was born in Tecumseh on September 25, 1950 to Carolyn (Greenfield) Grant and Charles Greenfield. Chet’s battle with cancer ended on March 3, 2018. He passed away in his sister’s home in Georgetown, Texas surrounded by family.
Chet was a member of the Adrian High School class of ‘68. Chet attended Adrian College before moving to Austin, Texas where he raised his two children, Travis Greenfield (26) and Molly (Greenfield) Skawski (25). Chet worked at Dell Computers for 20 years, yet rarely missed one of his children’s sports games. Chet was always his children’s biggest fan, and they were his. We all rejoice that Chet is in a place without the pain of cancer and joined together again with his brother, Rob Greenfield, and his father, Charles Greenfield.
Chet is survived by his sister, Cheryl Greenfield (69), his parents Carolyn (Greenfield) Grant (90) and Jim Grant (84), and his children.
A celebration of Chet’s life, love, humor and kindness will be held in Austin, Texas. We have much to celebrate.
