Carol Lynn (Neff) Collins-Nowells

Carol Lynn (Neff) Collins-Nowells, age 73, of Tecumseh, returned home to her heavenly father on April 2, 2017. She was born to the late Forrest and Marquerite (Bowman) Neff in Dearborn, Mich., on July 20, 1943.

Carol was a woman of grace and wisdom who enjoyed crocheting, reading and gardening in her earlier years. During her time married to her first husband, William Collins, they traveled the world with their two children, through his service in the U.S. Air Force. In her retirement years, she enjoyed lunch dates with her sister, watching NASCAR and loved following the Detroit Tigers. Carol especially enjoyed her visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by those who loved her.

Carol is survived by her loving son, David (Julia) Collins; her grandchildren, Callie (Dan) Yatzek, Braxton (Nick Rapson) Collins, Hannah (Cody) Whitehouse and Cassidy (Amy Morrow) Schroeder; great-grandchildren, Landon, Ava, Jameson, Calvin, Carson and Savannah; her sister, Jane (Duane) Stoner; brother Bob (Diane) Cole and many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Collins, second husband, Fred Nowells and her daughter, Victoria Collins, in 1989.

Cremation has taken place. Private service will take place at Brookside Cemetery.
