Calvin C. Dixon
Calvin C. Dixon, age 91, of Tecumseh, passed away, January 9, 2016.
Mr. Dixon was a resident of the Tecumseh area coming from Middlesboro, Ky. He was retired from the Tecumseh Products Company with over 30 years of service.
Cal was a WWII veteran serving in the United States Army, 101st Airborne.
He was a member of the Tecumseh Missionary Baptist Church, 101st Airborne Association, Tecumseh Masonic Lodge F.&A.M. No. 69, Tecumseh VFW and Tecumseh American Legion.
In addition to his wife Patricia, Cal is survived by his daughter, Sallie Faye Adams of Jacksonville, Fla., son, Gary (Darlene) Maynard of Tecumseh, five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Cheryl Logan, grandson, Michael Ross, and brother Robert Lee Dixon.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016 at Tecumseh Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Jones officiating. Interment followed at Brookside Cemetery with Military Honors performed by the United States Army, Michigan National Guard Funeral Honors Team.
Visitation was from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016 at Tecumseh Missionary Baptist Church and again on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service.
