Band Boosters give kudos to director for ‘outstanding leadership’
To the Editor,This summer Tecumseh Middle School Band Director Joe McInchak was asked to take over the Tecumseh High School Band and Orchestra programs. With one week to prepare for the Summer Marching Band Camp Mr. McInchak was able to completely prepare a new half-time program including all new music and marching band sets.Marching Band Camp consists of a week of 12 hour days with coordination of band students, clinicians and volunteers totaling over 120 people. Beyond this coordination he was able to show our children calmness, leadership and musicianship. At a most crucial time in our band students’ life Mr. McInchak restored their faith in what a wonderful teacher can provide to them.The general consensus from those involved is that this year’s band camp and start of marching band season has been the best in recent memory. Our band students are not only performing at a high musical standard but they seem to be having a blast!Once again, thank you Joe McInchak for your outstanding leadership and direction of the Tecumseh High School Band program.Tecumseh Band Boosters
