Armella “Millie” Hoffman

Armella “Millie” Hoffman, age 85, passed away on August 28, 2015, at Herrick Manor in Tecumseh surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 8, 1930, to John and Stella (Liedel) Leibold in Maybee, Mich. She was a graduate of Monroe High Class of 1948. On November 3, 1951, she married Leo “Buzz” Hoffman and they enjoyed 63 years together. Armella was a member at St. Elizabeth’s church for over 50 years and also sang in the choir. She was employed at Tecumseh High School for 23 years, an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers. Armella enjoyed walking and shows at the TCA. A Devoted mother and grandmother who will be truly missed by her family and friends.Armella is survived by her loving husband, Leo “Buzz”; sons, Leo (Cindy) of Tecumseh, Mich., Michael (Marsha) of Clinton, Mich., and Patrick of Tecumseh, Mich.; daughters, Monica (Timothy) Irelan of Tecumseh, and Marie (Michael) Steele of Cypress, Calif.; a brother, John (Carol) Liebold of Indian River, Mich.; sister, Bernadine Iott of Monroe, Mich.; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Armella was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Jeffery, grandson, Jason Coombs, sisters, Rosemary Zawacki and Lois Doederlein.Memorial Mass was held on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church Inurnment was at Brookside Cemetery.
