Annette “Toni” Taylor

Annette “Toni” Taylor, 75, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Lynwood Manor in Adrian after a short illness.Annette was born May 29, 1939, in Detroit, the daughter of Marion and Eleanor (Gazewski) Gancarz. She was a 1957 graduate of Utica High School and employed by the Michigan Secretary of State in the Milan, Mich. office. She retired in 1999. Annette was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Tecumseh. She enjoyed craft-making, especially creating intricate flowers from beads and wire, and knitting. Her dishcloths, scarves and hand-warmers were in high demand among her friends and family.Annette is survived by two daughters, Jeanninne Taylor of Lady Lake, Fla., and Jacqueline (Tony Venable) Taylor of Ft. Myers, Fla., three grandchildren, Courtney Adams, Jesse Adams, and Derrek (Nicole) Montalvo; two great-grandchildren, Caleb Sebring and Zane Helzer; her mother, Eleanor Gancarz of Utica; a sister, Patricia, of Warren, Mich., and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by: her father, two brothers and two sisters.Cremation has taken place. The funeral liturgy will be offered on Saturday, May 30, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Tecumseh with Rev. Daniel F. Wheeler, celebrant.
